I've never run it on a PC, so I don't really have a great comparison, but for a while it's been basically the only game I play and it hasn't gotten in the way of my enjoyment. There's a few odd graphical glitches that sometimes appear (I think someone on this sub has mentioned the blank, ghostly eyes of the character models in the equipment screen), the framerate gets choppy on occasion but it's not that bad, and there's less graphical polish overall than from what I've seen in footage of the game on PC. It does not offer much when it comes to challenges and rewards, but it is a fun game to play.I have a standard 13-inch Macbook Pro from 2015 running Sierra with a 2.7GHz intel i5 processor, and DoI runs pretty well. The game took two popular classic titles and mixed it into a new and fun one. If you are into retro games, then BomberSnake is a game worth checking. You will always startfrom the beginning every time you play. There isn’t even aleveling system that allows you to save your progress. However, like the games it tookinspiration from, there is nothing that the game offers aside from nostalgia.There isn’t much when it comes to challenge and reward. Playing the game will bring backmemories of the classic arcade games. Of course, there are also bombpower-ups that you can collect and use to beat the snake.Įverything in thegame screams retro, especially its pixel art. There is also chest light, which you can get toincrease your visibility range for a short time.
Aside from coins, there are also treasure cheststhat contain random items. The space bar lets you drop a bomb while pressing theshift key lets you run faster. To move around the dungeon, you can usethe arrow keys or WASD. To control theBomberman, you can use your keyboard. There are also pears throughout thedungeon that can give you 25HP. Withthis, you won’t see the entire dungeon, so you won’t see where the snake is.Each coin you collect gives you one point. That light will follow wherever the Bomberman goes. The only space lit is the small areaaround the Bomberman. What makes it challenging-aside from thesnake-is that the dungeon is pitch dark. As noted, you only need to maneuver around a dungeon andtry to get more coins than the snake.
